Southeast Asia – Jan. 21-Feb. 4
- Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
- Purpose of trip: Attend EducationUSA fair in each country; meet with alums in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore
- Attending: Dr. Tom Sloane, Executive Director for International and Global Relations and Dr. David Stewart, Associate Vice President for International Student Affairs and Global Services
Russia and Bahrain – Feb. 14-26
- St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Bahrain
- Purpose of trip: Attend US Department of Commerce Education Fair in Russia; meet with Moscow State University; take Dean Joyce McConnell and Dean Paul Krieder to Bahrain as part of the WVU-RUW partnership; meet with alums to discuss formation of GCC alumni chapter in June
- Attending: Michael Wilhelm, Director, Office of International Students and Scholars, and Dr. David Stewart, Associate Vice President for International Student Affairs and Global Services
Turkey – March 2-9
- Purpose of trip: Attend a2 recruitment fairs in Turkey
- Attending: Perihan Celik, Lecturer, Intensive English Program
Siberia – March 7-18
- Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and Vladivostok
- Purpose of trip: Attending EducationUSA fair in above cities
- Attending: Michael Wilhelm, Director, Office of International Students and Scholars, and Dr. David Stewart, Associate Vice President for International Student Affairs and Global Services
Japan/Hong Kong – March 11-20
- Purpose of trip: Attend PAIE EducationUSA pavilion in Hong Kong; meet with Japanese alums to prepare for creation of 2nd Japan alumni chapter in June; meet with Japanese universities and language schools to recruit for the IEP.
- Attending: Dr. Tom Sloane, Executive Director for International and Global Relations, and Stacy Fint, Director, Intensive English Program
GCC – April 16-27
- Purpose of trip: Attend King Abdullah recruitment fair in Riyadh; meet with alums in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE to prepare for the creation of the GCC alumni chapter in June; attend Oman government scholarship education fair; meet with police Academies in the UAE and also ADNOC
- Attending: Dr. Tom Sloane, Executive Director for International and Global Relations, Michael Wilhelm, Director, Office of International Students and Scholars, and Dr. David Stewart, Associate Vice President for International Student Affairs and Global Services
